Welding

The most
common technique used to join PVC waterproofing sheets.
The
sheets should overlap by at least 50 mm.
The
Leister Triac hand welder is used for Hot Air welding of
INSUWRAP PVC membranes.
The hand

and 40mm wide leister rubber roller.

Welding
The Lower Seam Edge
Before the seams are
welded, they are tag-welded every 2-3m, which ensures
uniform seam overlap, welding is then carried out in two
passes, during the first pass the lower seam edge only
is welded to prevent the hot air from escaping during
the actual welding pass. |

Welding
The Seam
As per the hot air is
being applied, the seam must at the same time be rolled
flat to the membrane edge using the pressure roller.
